I have always thought the Swampmasher was a cool little vehicle, although a bit bright for practicality, but you've transformed it into what it always had the potential to be; awesome! Nice paints, making it look like a weathered, well used machine! Short Track looks cool, too!

So, here are the pics of the construction for the axles.
I dremeled out the original axle areas and cut the ferret axles to fit into the new grooves. This was done for the front set. They were attached with a combo of krazyglue and hot glue (my krazy glue just wasnt doing well). I couldnt use the pegging technique because there is not enough plastic to mount to on the front end. It is too thin. The rear however is pegged, using the baton from Ret. Roadblock. They are super secure.

Cool thanks.
Pegging? I think that I will go with a solid axle if I ever get around to making this conversion. That looks like it was a lot of work

Nice work. I like what you did with it. I did a few of these with wheels it looks so much better than those weird purple things.

It's not terribly hard. Pegging, or pinning as it's also called, is just a term for adding a reinforcement to the build to help the glue. You just find a straight pin some other support piece you can use, make a small hole that holds the support tightly in the piece and what it will be attached to. Then you glue and put it all together. It only took me maybe 2 hours with sanding included to put this together.
In a hidden spot like that, why not just use screws? Your crazy glue was giving you problems because the type of plastic that the Ferret wheel mounts are made out of is nearly impossible to bet an adhesive of any kind to really bond to.
