The W.H.A.L.E. was one of my favorite vehicles as a kid. The fact that it could hold multiple figures, float and had hidden features like the sled, moto and depth charges made it great for a variety of missions.
When I saw the TRU Hovercraft, I knew I had a vehicle that could compliment the original WHALE, which was mainly a troop carrier, as a vehicle transport. Thus, the Type CV was born. No repainting involved - it comes OD green stock with silver/metal accents and the black plastic "air cushion". I swapped out all of the "Nerf" pump action guns and missiles with a left over set of cannons from the TRU bridge layer tank (they are the exact same as the ones mounted on the hovercraft's turrets). I also added some depth charge barrels left over from various PTE sets I have bought over the years. I added repro decals from Cobrastickers/Toyhax for the WHALE to finish it off. The WHALE Type CV can carry most Joe vehicles. I've fit the VAMP with RAM, Awe-strikers, two Armadillos, Snowcats/Havoks and squeezed in the MOBAT. It's great for carrying light armor or vehicles to the combat zone!

Extra cannons from the Bridge Layer tank from TRU snap right into the box mounts from the stock "Nerf" launchers
