I like delving into new lines, and the awesome part about today's world? There's always a new line to try out. A few weeks ago, a request came in to make someone's D&D Elf Ranger in figure form. I was given this image as a reference with the only note being to include a red arrow. I made fantasy style customs back when I first started customizing, but haven't messed with them since, unfortunately. Couldn't resist giving him a shot, and hope to eventually get to do more.
You know how generally a figure doesn't stop looking like the base character until after you paint him? Yeah, I didn't have that problem here. The entire body is resculpted top to bottom. Swapped out the hands, and even resculpted the cape and belt/skirt piece/thing. Lot of days just piecing him together. Didn't do too much evening in an attempt to keeping him looking rough and worn. Then, I gave him a full black repaint, with brown and dark green drybrushing to get the color right. Silver where needed, then a cast head with Psylocke hair, again drybrushed with black, brown, and grey. Gave him a bow, arrow, and some chain to connect the cape since it didn't wrap around full, and done! Recipe: Body - MU Spiderman Head - cast Hair - MU Psylocke Cape - DC Infinite Heroes Superman Skirt piece - 25th Anniversary Cobra Commander Bow - MU Hawkeye Arrow - GI Joe ROC Spirit (I think) Hands - random Joe, not sure

This is one of your coolest customs man. I am not into fantasy very much but I really like what you did here.
Keep rocking man! |
