Ok, so I've only sporadically posted my customs here at Hisstank, because the Tank rightfully caters more to Joe based creations. So while I use predominantly Joes, I don't make as many Joe characters as my customs. I'm mostly satisfied with the current production figures, and while I've re-done a few old favorites, I mainly shoot for other fictional characters, or originals. In a later post, if people want to hear more, I'll set up some of the details of the verse. It's mostly real-world based, so I modify traits of fictional heroes to better fit that scope. If anyone here is a member at JoeCustoms, you might recognize me from there as drbindy, or Dr. Bindy as people have come to read it. I'm also on as Knighthawk over at Trigate Creations.
I also usually write lengthy bios, but I'll try to put the pics first, so folks don't have to read the story if they don't want. Here is my title character, as made thus far in 3 variations, KNIGHTHAWK v1 - my first attempt at this original character, also previously posted here: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...nighthawk.html v2 - this was a civlian version, meant for either undercover ops, or civilian consulting work. The body has since been donated for James Bond, but I can head swap back and forth whenever needed for a story: Knighthawk's information (bland at first, but he shows up frequently elsewhere): File Name: Tristan Knight Background: Major, U.S. Army; Ranger, Airborne, Black Ops, GIJoe Liason Specialties: Infantry/Airborne, Martial Arts, Covert Ops, Tactical, Communications, Pilot Background/Bio: A natural leader and premier warrior, Tristan Knight (Knighthawk) lives by a code of honor befitting his name. While he was a successful Ranger officer, the black/elite ops positions are ones he was tailor-made for, given his wide array of training, and his deadly proficiency. For these reasons, Knighthawk was famously recruited by all of the prominent elite ops programs, ranging from the CIA to GIJoe. Though his "official" file remains silent on the subject, it is widely suspected that Knighthawk had actually agreed to join the Joe team mere weeks before it ultimately was defeated and disbanded, and was in fact a key player in the Joe's last noteworthy victory in the Cobra wars, having helped to destroy the genome enhancement SERPENTOR Super Soldier laboratory in Vienna. Knighthawk is specifically rumored to have defeated the prototype Super Solider, Serpentor I, in hand to hand combat. The loss of this facility has no doubt helped to prevent the enemy from achieving many of their world domination goals, though intel reports new research facilities within the MEDUSA terror network frantically trying to pick up the pieces and resume the program from where it left off. Upon leaving formal military service, Knighthawk was recruited to be a high ranking officer in the EXCAL organization. Superficially, it might appear the choice was a monetary decision, as it is well known that the billionaire financiers of the program have invested heavily in acquiring the top soldiers in the free world to serve their cause. Those few people who know Tristan Knight well understand that he would not have joined had he not believed in the program. Knighthawk quickly climbed the ranks, and helped engineer the Paladin Knight Program. Knighthawk is one of the two highest ranking, highest paid, and highest profile Knights in that program presently.

v3 (this is my current default version...I guess it's folks like me who eat up all the variants of the main heroes, lol):

Here is a Joe I've done up, though he fits my bigger story as well...
----- TO: Knighthawk, PKM FROM: Agent Vesper VIA: Secure Transmission Dearest Tristan, I thought you, or at least your large friend ("Roadblock" I believe you called him?), might be interested in learning of an encounter I've recently had whilst snorkeling off the coast of Aruba. I ran into a rather striking American there, with brilliant blonde hair and blue eyes. Strangely, he also had a full beard despite quite obviously a fan of soaking up the sun. In any event he said he was there on "vacation", which I knew was not true from a mere hour of observation. Though I do not doubt that he took enjoyment out of surfing and establishing the vacation as his cover, it was clear that he was out of place (as was I) and that there was more to his story than having fun, which he simply was not having enough of for a true vacation. In any event, I used some of my best investigative skills (no worries love, not those skills) to determine he was formerly in the U.S. Military, and I determined his name to be Craig S. McConnel. Upon returning to my hotel, I was able to access some information on him via MI5, specifically that he had once been a member of the G.I.Joe unit. I remember you telling me how you had some connections there before you got involved with EXCAL, and I also remember you saying that all the surviving men from that unit had been accounted for, with the rest presumed dead. Well, this might be one less dead friend, which I can only assume is of great joy to you and "Roadblock" who I realized was of much more direct association with the 'Joes' from the files I reviewed. When I learned who my new friend really was, I set about to determine his real reasons for being in Aruba. He really was there to surf - but as you can see from the photos I am sending, I found it a bit odd that someone might surf under cover of darkness, while fully armed, no less. The next day I decided to take a gamble and confront Mr. McConnel with who I was and what I knew of him, and he came clean. Turns out he believes there to be an underwater passageway into the fortress we still today know as Cobra Island, and he has just begun a recon of this theory. He said he has a strong reason to believe that many (not just some, but "many") of his friends might have been held captive these last few years on the island, even while you all were led to believe in their deaths. I thought this was information you needed, and quite honestly I owed you one for helping to shake James off of my trail most recently. Best Regards, Vesper/// end transmission. -----

Looks cool.
My one comment: "Background: Major, U.S. Army; Ranger, Airborne, Black Ops, GIJoe Liason Specialties: Infantry/Airborne, Martial Arts, Covert Ops, Tactical, Communications, Pilot" You're saying the same thing alot, just say U.S. Army Airborne Ranger and that covers "U.S. Army; Ranger, Airborne," and "Infantry/Airborne," He's too tough. If he's on the team, what is the need for many of the others? All the Joes have their "niches" they fit in. What does he bring that another Joe doesn't? Or is he to replace alot of the Joes? I'd just trim and tighten the background and liason part. Other then that, it's pretty sweet.

Knighthawk SEEMS he would be the star in a since. The kind of guy they base a show around. He works between the Government and GI Joe keeping things in order between the two. He looks to rough for a public figure head, but the kind of guy that can a five star general where to go, and NOT lose his job. I like that. Kinda WWE Films: Stone Cold Steve Austin IS Knighthawk. If he had a series, you would see GI Characters cross into his life from time to time. But he would have his own set of problems and supporting characters and enemies tying to cobra. Like an ex-wife and a kid. Hmmm...lol...maybe I should write for him. We could pitch something!

I'd just trim and tighten the background and liason part. Other then that, it's pretty sweet. The bio for Knighthawk is kind of meant to be standard comic book tough guy fare. In other snippets later on (I've got a lot to post here), he becomes more of a real person and less of an icon. The WHOLE purpose of the verse I created was to find a place for every character I want to present or incorporate (i.e. "play with" lol) in this scale, just like when we were kids, and my favorite Joes used to pilot X-Wings, and occasionally drive the batmobile, if you get my point. So there will be a lot of familiar faces, though most will have a different twist to them. The group that is being formed that I am presenting is known as EXCAL. I'll past in the background as I have time. It's an elite unit that operates outside the scope of the government, and relies upon individual premier warriors who have earned the title of Paladin Knights. Knighthawk is one of the best, which is in line with the strengths indicated in this first short bio. Anyway, I accept your critique on it. The background I can tighten up, sure. But he is who he is, and I hope it seems less forced when the context of the world is posted here. I hope you at least keep checking back.
