Not wanting to toe tread but is this thread truely about great customs or self gratification/biggest posse to promote the work?
You see threads like this from time to time (not saying this Is one of those),that are truely ego boost threads only. I`m all for truely talented customizers being recognised. As this week has shown with RiverSpoons Resolute Snake Eyes,Doc`s & CobraCollectors version too. Along with Babyjelly`s work with Action Force customs,Garvy & certainly Ford Prefect also. Oh there are many more but these are some I`d single out as truely talented customizers in everyway. From creativeness to execution of the customs,be they sanded, sculpted to scratch built. As said I just don`t want to see another "Rah Rah My work" or "Rah Rah my best friends work". Let it be truely about the Talented people ONLY. Nothing but truly great stuff so far, so I don't know what Panzer's post is all about. Not to toe tread, but it sounds like you're a hater to me.

I mean, I guess I can say I am fond of these guys and have talked to them off and on about their customs in some form or another, but I've extended conversation and gotten to know them because they ARE my favorite customizers on these boards. I would like to think that, yes, I am on good standings with them, but I'm not a fan just because they're good guys or I'm chummy with them.
For example, I'm using the exact formulas that Eddie and Badgumbo/Madcrazyloco/CobraCollector for several of my customs, and I've bought from Mad Joe and Alyosha because I'm such fans of their work, and I feel that the things they create are by far better "ultimate" versions of figures than even Hasbro has made. Hasbro, on the other hand, is one of my least favorite customizers when it comes to using existing parts. For example, Cutter, you suck. |

As for custom threads that I love, check out stuff by CobraCollector. While I don't love everything he does, he has an amazing eye for parts' use and is one more enthusiastic sunuvabitch when it comes to customizing Joes.
He's tried so many part combinations, that his work is a great reference to see what fits, and what doesn't. Not saying that everything works 100% of the time, but I think he pulls out a lot of surprises and is great for a customizer to reference when finding parts for figures. To me, these customs boards are more "reference" and "library" than art gallery. Between Hisstank's customs galleries and YoJoe's archive of Hasbro figures, they're really the 2 main sources I go to besides my own imagination, which usually benefits greatly from both sources. |

Haha. I was listing your best quality, my man. Your customs are top notch, 90% of the time, if you ask me. There's a few that I don't think quite work, but if you do 100 customs (which you have), and 10 aren't perfect, then you still have about 80 more customs than I've even attempted that rock.
