Here's my version of Sunbow's Zarana. This turned out to be a much bigger project than I thought it would, but every minute of it was fun. I learned alot making her and received some great tips along the way from a fellow tanker, Badgumbo. Thanks bud!
Edit: The base I started out with was a DVD pack Lady Jaye, with diver Baroness lower arms and scarlett boots, but I later added Viper knees. I scraped off all the details and sculpted on my own. You can check out some of the WIP pics here. Another Edit: There were a couple of questions asked and I thought I'd throw them here on the first page. The compounds I used to make her were Aves Fixit, Greenstuff and Magic-Sculpt. When working on her I repeatedly painted the areas I thought I was happy with, to see the area better. This often showed how much more work I had to do to get her to where I wanted her. With all the different shades of plastics, it was hard to see otherwise. I used automotive sandpaper for sanding, 180grit all the way down to 1000grit. I folded the sheets, sometimes multiple times and used the 'edge of the folds' to do the detail work. The paint I used mainly was Model Master, thinned down with windex and water. Last edited by Shogi; 08-04-2010 at 11:34 PM.. |

Wow, this is nice! Everything about it looks factory made. What all went into this work of art?
