You may recall this thread from Supejoe74 where he helped several tankers out with his perfect Club Iceberg skirt fix (I was one of those lucky tankers):
http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...eberg-fix.html You may also recall for a number of reasons people had an issue with the Club use of the ARAH Iceberg retooled head. At the con pictures were shown of the POC Low-Light headsculpt instead. Here's a link and a pic: G.I. Joe Collectors Club Roundtable FSS 2.0 Images - GI Joe News So, I was curious about what might have been - but having no painting skills of my own I turned to Superjoe74 for help. Let me just say SJ74 is a fantastic guy who has been very kind to share his time and talent. After talking it out he had some great additional ideas which are what you'll see in the next few posts. I'll add a pole for fun - hope you all can dig these as much as I do. **Disclaimer - my pictures are nothing impressive and barely passable, really wish I had a better way to show off the fantastic work by Superjoe74** Last edited by Dod Ear; 10-13-2013 at 08:41 PM.. |

In addition SJ74 had the brilliant idea of using the POC Low-Light head with the ARAH headcast dremeled to make his own mash-up. I didn't think it would work! Glad to be wrong - check this out:
He also repainted Arctic Snake Eyes hood just to see how it would come off (sorry for the giraffe neck - didn't want to mod the head as it has to be that way for the fur): |

And I thought it would be in order to take some more pics with that same class of '86 in POC / 30th style:

Not bad, but still too obviously a clone of Low-Light. A thousand times better than the turd we got though, but the figure deserved a new head sculpt, period.
Dial-Tone's and Footloose's heads are both fantastic sculpts (whether Footloose looks exactly like I wanted it to, it's a great sculpt of a human head regardless) and so is Low-Light's, so it's at least an improvement. You need to paint the eyebrows on him though, he looks weird without them. |
