WOW! That has to be the best Serpentor I have ever seen....I want that badly.
I thought this one was good!!! marvel legends style gi joe custom serpentor - eBay (item 110376068122 end time Apr-19-09 10:00:00 PDT) This is the info and link if interested. http://www.2dtoys.com/miscellaneous/serpentor.htm The original base figure used to be a Face Off Captain America. I replaced the head with a Marvel Legends Punisher, and then dremeled the hell outta everything. I ended up replacing the arms with those of a Series 1 Captain America because the Face Off arms looked out of proportion and small after sculpting all the scales and armor. Thanks airmax! Everything was sculpted with Epoxy Putty or Plumber's putty, making sure all of the articulation is intact and nothing was lost. I wanted a fast and quick way to make the smaller scales on his forearms and feet, so I made a ghetto mold, by laying a thin layer of epoxy on the torso scales of Captain America and before it fully dried 10 mins later, ripped it off and pushed it almost inside out to get rid of the sculpted musculature of cap, leaving only the scale impressions. Then I pushed that ghetto mold into the epoxy putty laid out on the forearms, creating little tiny scale impressions. Because the contours of the forearms and feet are different from the mold, not all the surface area could be covered. So I had to sculpt the rest of the scales to connect with the scale impressions. This turned out alot faster than sculpting scales individually with apoxie sculpt as I had done on a previous project. The bigger scales on the body and legs were actually quite fun to apply, and not as time consuming as I had originally thought. They were made by pressing little epoxy circles one at a time and overlapping one another. The cape came from a Marvel Legends Thor. The snakes came from a Medusa figure so they're all bendy. |

Well, going by the watermark, I'd say it's from this site:
Doubledealer's Custom Action Figures v 4.0 He's got an email contact listed there, too, as well as more pics for this and his other works. It's a nice Marvel Legends style Serpy, to be sure! Not my kinda scale, though.... |
