I've fixed up three different Nightwing's over the past few months, and been wanting to make his New 52 look. Thanks to the Batman kit from Vortious, I got the lower arms, which I decided to use for this. I've always loved his classic blue and black look, but I real surprised to find that I liked his New 52 look even more. Maybe I just really like the mix of black and red on things.
The body itself was a straight repaint, but the lower arms took a little altering. Cut down the Bullseye arms, then sanded them down to fit smoothly, and glued the gauntlets to them. So, he only has upper arm articulation. The rest was all simple, with just some joint sanding and repainting. Recipe: Body - MU Bullseye Head - AngelForge cast Lower Arms and Batons - Vortious cast

Looks great man; and I agree I have always loved the black and blue look but his New 52 just really pops. Plus I always have enjoyed Batman Beyond and his new look has that going for him as well.

That is an awesome Nightwing. I made one with the blue and black before, but you are right about this look. It really pops. Might have to go back and re-do mine. Great job.

Top notch man as usual you super hero work is always impressive.
Ok since you are one the Superhero action figure residents here I want to ask for some advice. Which figures would you use to make an Atomika custom? Many artists draw him differently but I am looking for more of an Angel Medina style like here: http://www.angelmedinaart.com/news.asp?id=174 maybe some of this would work too: http://www.comicbookpros.com/wallpaper_single.asp?id=56 http://www.comicbookpros.com/wallpaper_single.asp?id=6 I want to try and make one but I don't have much knowledge of marvel universe size figures Last edited by phantro; 08-06-2013 at 06:39 PM.. |
