So I had a bunch of these "Prowlers" floating around from TRU. I thought they looked SO ridiculous they HAD to be working for COBRA somehow.
When another online site had a 'fire' sale of 1:18 scale stuff, I managed to pick up 4 "PaK 40" WWII German anti-tank guns. I thought they fit in perfectly with my Cobra forces.. and to make it somewhat plausible I say they are using special rounds, and the simplicity of the device retards the Joe's ability to find it on scanners. Yeah, that works. So anyway, the GREEN Prowler didn't SCREAM! Cobra at me, so I decided I would take my first dabble at painting. I went to a hobby shop, acted like the total idiot I am and had to get told what brushes to buy etc. The end result! Well not really end, I have to do some additional coats and touch up, tomorrow when its not so late! I added a tow hitch on the back, so it could actually tow something!

I think it turned out okay so far, I want to add some decals, work on the interior etc. But now COBRA has some anti-armor, and something to wheel it around! COOOOOOBBBRRRRAAAAA!

Looks good. I've seen that vehicle at TRU and was wondering how it would work with Joes, so thanks for posting those pics. And while it may look somewhat ridiculous, those track wheel attachments actually exist. People around here put them on old trucks to use for grooming snowmobile trails.

That's a pretty cool vehicle. Dunno if it has the hp to tow a PaK 40, but whatever, it works.
Say what you will, i'd bet even money that the high-velocity 75mm and 88mm guns of WWII could still handily kill modern combat vehicles short of MBTs. |
