I want to know how to make a liquid/ water substance. Maybe look a little thicker. I have an idea for a dio that needs a vat of green toxic goo.
Anyone know how, besides the E-Z water pellets?

You mean like slime that doesn't dry out? Not off-hand.

Clear Vaseline?
No, that'd look really thick and would get everywhere...

Corn Syrup? I dunno if that evaporates, but it'd do the job.

Something that can harden, and not grow moldy.

Try gloss medium, from the craft department. It dries clear and shiny, and more flexible than white glue. It's thick enough that you can sculpt some surface detail into it, when you put it down. Just paint the surface you apply it to in the color you want. You can even add variations to the cor, help it look more like a liquid. You could also try mixing a few drops of food coloring into it, before you put it on.

what about the stuff they tested on Myth Busters?
it acts like a liquid when hit fast, but acts as a solid if there is little to no force being applied.. here is the video: its just water and cornstarch and here is a recipe I found.. essentially the same thing on a much smaller scale! lol ** Im not sure what kind of shelf life this would have or if it would or would not go moldy |
