You can also use the classic MOBAT as a dinghy on the BBI/FOV Abrams - the size difference is immense!

pose a 25 line fig next to the mobat...you see just how under scale it is:p
until/unless they do a 25th hiss driver (are they?) i have a stinger driver for my cobra bradley. i'm anxious to see tank pictures with the figures. i just wish they included more openings/functionality with the vehicles:( the bradley for example has lots of dead space inside |

At least you have the tiny troop space in the back of the Bradley. The Abrams is simply HUGE and fits only 2 figures. I plan to pose my figures hanging on all over the place like they did in the old comics.
I love all the 25th Figures so far, but we are in sore need of more of the originals.

Arch - you would probably have an officer (such as the stinger driver - never understood why an officer would be a driver) commanding the Cobra Bradley anyway. Driver would likely sit somewhere inside and out of sight.

and i would put the driver in the correct position however the driver hatch doesn't open so i'm using the next available hatch. he may be the driver/officer but not do the actual driving in my case:confused: it's that or put my officer/soldier up on top. i thought the river would add some variety to the display as it would be driver/c.c. 5 man soldier team.
rolando, what are your plans for figures=vehicles? |

The Crimson Attack Tank will, obviously, be for my CGs. I have only two right now so it's not much of a "team." I hope to find one more, and then a couple of Freds to round the team out. Eventually, I'd like Tomax, Xamot, and the rumored Crimson Baroness attached to the unit as well.
My Abrams is carrying Stalker and Road Block right now, but I hope to put Rock N Roll and (hopefully) Steeler in there some day.

For fixing paint blotches, I have successfully used fingernail polish. Not polish remover!!! Actual polish. Brush on a small amount on the paint you want to remove. Wait a few seconds, and then wipe it off with a paper towel or old rag. It should remove one layer of paint down. It might dull the plastic, but if you are repainting, this won't matter.
I took off a Cobra logo off an '84 Storm Shadow and the face and arm camo off a v1 Tunnel Rat using this method. Tedious, but highly effective. (I suggest clear polish, so the residue doesn't show up, but if you wipe it off quickly, there won't be residue...) Mr brother and I used to paint matchbox or hotwheels cars and if we didn't like it, we used mom's polish to get off the most recent layer. Multiple times we took off the layer we had just painted and got back to the original factory paint that way. It's possible to do with plastic as well, but I've only done it on figure modifications so far... Hope to see pictures when you're finished! Once again, do not use polish remover as this will melt plastic. Polish, not polish remover... |

I think your suggestion came just in time. I had put on what I thought was the final coat this morning on my patio only to find a mess before I left for work. I hadn't realized the clothes dryer was on and the vent sent steam all over my tank while it was supposed to be drying. Now there are areas that look like they just melted. I was worried that I'd have to risk paint thinner but the nail polish sounds like a great solution. I just hope I don't feel too lame going to the store and buying it.

I'm about ready to apply the red highlights for my BBI Bradley/Crimson Attack Tank. I was planning on picking up some Testors paints in a hobby shop. I want to paint it as close to the original design as the Bradley will allow.
Here's a pic of the original CAT for reference: I don't think I'll use the same kind of red. I think I'd prefer something more scarlet. I'd like to post pictures, but I'm a novice when it comes to hosting. If anyone could tell me where I could go, that would be great.

The Cobra CAT is almost done and not that bad actually. I'll post some pictures when I've put it back together and added the decals. I'm also in the midst of putting decals on the Abrams tank. Just adding the stars and GI Joe sticker have really made the tank stand out. I never realized that there were so many stickers to put on when I was a kid.
