I'm really not too pleased with the Albert Pine that we got in the "Best of the '80s" DVD pack. Limited range of motion in the shoulders I can deal with to a degree--but how in the hee-yell is he supposed to hold any weapon? Those wrist pads/gauntlets obstruct anything--and that's aside from him already having dang-fangled Snow Job hands that have difficulty grasping anything in the first place!
So... have any of our brilliant customizers encountered the same frustrations and done a fix for this figure to make him... ummm... functional? |

My Alpine is looking up which makes the figure appear odd.

Hmm... mine technically looks fine, but like I said, in terms of functionality, he is lacking.
General Hawk also looks fine, but everyone complained about his arthritic worse-than-Duke-arms elbows. Alpine's mold looks great and the paint apps aren't bad (mine has straight eyes, as well), but the fact that he can't possible hold a gun across his chest or that his hands rotate inside of his gauntletsis bothersome. I'm really the only one that has a problem with Alpine's hands? |

my only let down is I thought they were using the grey camo storm shadow ropes around his body not the one they molded into his coat which sticks out under his left arm. I am thinking whether or not I want to scrap one of those stormies and do some modifications to get that on Alpine, but I dont want to ruin anything either.

Scroll down the page and you can see what I did with my Alpine. It's only to fix his holding weapon problem. If I ever get another one, I will try something different (so if anyone's got extra Alpine arms they don't need, let me know) What I'll do if I get another is actually remove the gauntlets completely and cut off the pouch on the arms and then reattach the gauntlets at a different angle or maybe glue it to the back of his hands so the whole gauntlet moves. However, I'm happy with what I have for now.

I gave him Beachhead forearms and TF Flint hands, reattached the gauntlets, added the vintage Beretta & grapple gun, and repainted the entire figure to more closely match the vintage look.
