Is there still a cavity in the socket for the neck ball to go into at all? Meaning just a big hole, versus screwing up the plastic around it/destroying the head? Put a drop of Vaseline/graphite powder/KY/whatever on the neck ball. Grab a hot glue gun, wait till the glue is drippy-hot (not just starting to get soft), and then fill in the hole. Position the head onto the neck ball to your desired position, then hold it for a minute or 2 so it cools enough to let go. Set it aside for a good 10-15 minutes to make sure it cools properly, but you may want to make sure that the head turns after the first minute or so, but if it's catching at all, I'd pull the sucker out. You do NOT want the hot glue to solidify so the head won't turn at all, or you could break the neck off. Then after everything is dried but the head still turns, pop the head off, and trim off the excess glue with an X-Acto. The hot glue will be elastic enough to pop around the neckball for a tight fit, but still move around just fine. Be sure to trim off the excess glue though, or your head will look really nasty. Heh. Finally, giggity. |

I put a sgt. Slaughter from 86 in finger nail polish tinking it would remove the paint. It turned him into mush. Remember that part from Robocop when that guy got that toxic waste all over him? Poor Sarge.....

Bravo sir! I recently found a flawless sigiled, tightest joints ever, but very yellowed Vintage Storm Shadow for $2 at a comic shop and thought I'd see if he'd whiten I regular household peroxide if left for a super long time. In my haste to disassemble, I forgot I but a leg screw back in, so while trying to pry the thigh open, I snapped his junk off. I used to do this all the time as a kid and was never so careless. But I have discovered that my obsessive joe surgeon child-self kept slot of pieces from broken joes, among them a stormy waist. Future to past self high-five! |

Kept re-painting a figure so many times due to not being satisfied with it, that I ended up losing most of the detail in the scuplt and it ended up looking like he melted :(
