Some examples:
Wild Weasel: i've shaded the details, and fixed all the paint was out of place or lacking. I like the figure as it is, so i only "sharpened" the look. There is little painting on it, aside of shadows. But it is covered completely with varnish. Not a single problem. Buzzer: again, i've only sharpened details (most of the work is in the chainsaw, i''l show it later). Added shadows in the shirt and pants, silvered the shoulderpad, fixed a lot of details on the belt and repainted the boots. I've repainted completely the googgles, with enamels. Varnish on top of all, and just only a problem: the grey boots were "sticky". They're completely dry by now. Glenda: as usual, darkened the details. I've repainted the belt, boots, and the head (eyes fixed, and some colour on the cheeks and mouth). The Scarlett hands are replaced with SW Skywalker hero, which are of a really soft, rubbery plastic. They have a first layer of enamel. I've fixed also the back of the knees, (the blue painting is really off place and you can see the white plastic) with blue enamel. Varnish on top of all, except the boots and gloves(i didn't finished those yet) and not a single problem. I think they look much more sharp now. |

Nice paint apps. I definitely give you props since you used enamels. I tried them once and that was enough for me.

But i don't use them for all. Mostly as a base to paint on top, acrilics seem to get a great hold on them. Btw, something that i didn't mentioned, is the fact that i use the enamels pure, i didn't use anything to make them more...liquid. Maybe that's the trick. And thanks for the props, people I'll make a post with clear pics when i finish them. As well as some tricks to fix rebellious equipment (like that damned bended chainsaw) |
