Well no doubt some here will have all if not most of the Indy toy line. So which Indy head is Best? I`ve got a few but not all from the Hasbro line. Have done the figure But want to make sure it`s the right choice of headsculpt. So which outta all the indy figures is best?
Oh as for the figure yea the usual Wolverine Origins Lumberjack figure.Sanded down the torso (back & sides & a little on the front) for a better fit of the Indy jacket (went with the Horse rider Indy jacket & arms). Accessories were a mix match & shoes normal brown ones. Not sure if I`m gonna keep the gloved hands tho or have bare hands.

IMO use a star wars han solo head, the Indiana heads just dont seem to resemble Harrison as much as the star wars ones.

If you are talking factory likeness I like the Temple of Doom Indy that was the last one to come out of last years line. I opened one up for my shelf. It was a shame that the line ended when it seemed that they finally got the paint apps and the sculpting right.

Thank`s for the speedy responces. If i did go Star Wars which head would be best there? As you`d think Hasbro should have MASTERED a miniture double with all the Han Solo figures they have made lol.
Buzz I have the Temple of Doom Indy.I`ll see what said by others before hand. If someone has ALL Indy heads & maybe Han Solo heads & has some time to kill to shoot some shots of them ALL,for a comparison,to help me & hopefully many others (even if you make your own thread & not in here). Has to be others wanting to see a perfect Indy/Ford headsculpt.

The Indy head with no hat (KOTCS Indy with removable hat and the KOTCS Indy with no hat, no Jacket and the RPG accessory) is by far the best head sculpt of Harrison Ford ever done. I used this head with a hat cut from other Indy figures for all of my Indy customs. Below is a link to some photos of my customs. The ones titled "Indy no Jacket" and "Indy 2" utilize the recipe above. The one titled "Indy Temple of Doom" uses the factory head from that figure. The important thing is that the heads are carefully repainted. It is the paintwork and not the sculpts, that are lacking on these figures.

yeah that head is a pretty good one, as long as you paint the grey hair out! LOL! That one is somewhat older. I guess it depends on what movie likeness you need.

I've got all but the Temple of Doom Indy, and it's hard to say whcih is the best sculpt, since so many are painted so horribly.
I've really often wondered why Harrison Ford is so difficult to capture a likeness of. I agree though, that the KOTCS hatless versions are probably the best, but you end up with the removeable hat that doesn't quite look right. I think the best overall likeness is a Han Solo figure from last year, depicting him in a sandstorm. He's got messy wind hair though, so you'd have to trim. There's a modified version of the head in an Endor battle pack |
