SWAG, had no intention of joining gi joe. He spent his younger years fighting the man and praising the actions of Cobra. To him, Cobra symbolized everything he wanted to be: a universal organization breaking down the capitalist system. He was known to even cohort with some of the vipers, as they wanted access to his crops. That was until he learned that Cobra was buying their weapons from Cesspool. He enlisted to become a joe and is known for his calming, chill out attitude when it comes to a sneak attack on Cobra. He is best friends with Outback, they went to Burning Man last year.

DROPOUT had an interesting life before joining gi joe. The son of two commune hippies during the Vietnam era, he never thought he would be the very thing he hated. He studied sociology at Cambridge with Dick Blinken, and despite his good fortune in life. DROPOUT only saw the worst. He joined the gi joe team after his trip to Australia when he saw his colleague change from a well mannered college professor to a rowdy criminal. DROPOUT saw that humans are truely selfish, when rules are removed. His purpose on the joe team is to inform them of Cobra's secret dealings in the urban areas. His skills in sociology have also helped them reform many captured vipers back into society.
"What truely makes someone want to join Cobra? We don't know. But DROPOUT does. He not only gets to the source of problem, but he tries to relate to these messed up kids. Many Vipers chant DROPOUT's name instead of Cobra's when he's finished showing them the way out of COBRA"
