I picked up a 4.8V cordless from Wal-Mart myself for $20. Model 754. It came w/5 bits, so that's not so amazing. But...
...next to it was a 75 piece set for $15. Which I'll be nabbing later on. So, for $35 I got 80 pieces, which I think is nicer than $40 for 50 pieces.
For toys, I doubt you'd be needing more than 4.8V in power also, but hey, never know.
At the very least, you can get the 75 piece set on top of whatever else you got.

The only thing I can suggest to you is be sure to get one that has multiple speed settings. I have a single speed, and it blazes faster than my power drill. I've had occurrences of the single-speed Dremel destroying a piece in my hands. Luckily it was the piece and not my fingers. I have since been using an older multispeed at my job.

First ask yourself this, what are you going to be using your Dremel for? If it's for woodworking/carving, sharpening garden tools, stripping paint/rust from cars, or drilling holes in tile, then you'll want one of their heavy-duty corded models.
If you're customizing GI Joes, carving out holes in resin heads, slicing styrene for Hiss Tank sides, or drilling PVC/ABS plastic, then get a lighter cordless model. The Stylus is never going to run out of juice because A: it has that any-time charge long life lithium battery and B: every time you're not using it you set it back on the charger. All the other dremels require you to remove a battery pack. Coupled with all the other points I outlined in my review, it really makes for the perfect dremel for customizers.

I have a rotary tool, if I remember right it's a Black & Decker RTX. It needs bits, when I get a new bit set for it I'll have to do some customs. Does anyone here have any experience using the RTX for customs?

If you are just getting one for customizing only the cordless one i like better and have never had the battery run out while doing something as long as when you are done plug it back in. Target has them cheap with small carrying case that holds everything including all the different tool pieaces. Everything comes together. Dont buy them seperate buy a set that comes with everything you need. 30-50 pieace set is good enough you dont need the 100 set or any thing like that.
