Lance you have done it again . You dare to be different and it pays off. I love your work. A true spin on the main stream! This is one serious soldier. I would have love to see him save private Ryan!

Absolutely spot on perfect. I think my favorite of yours thus far. Also, "One Trick Pony"... Stop it. You don't need to be so modest. Nice work, man. |

Anyhoo, Pretty good stuff, Lance. Kind of along the lines of my Vietnam era figure using Rockblock. |

Someone else actually repainted this figure long before this thread. I wanted to credit that customizer but couldn't find the thread. Anyhow, I was shocked to see how much this figure could look like the cartoon Raodblock so I rushed out and rescued a peg warmer solely for this purpose. Quote:

Also, yeah, he could look like Vietnam War era Roadblock with the sleeveless look. I was going to give him rolled up sleeves but it didn't scream Roadblock to me. IMO, Roadblock needs to be sleeveless and show off his massive guns. So I imagine he would cut the sleeves off his jacket for no other reason than to frighten the hell out of anyone who even thinks about going up against him. And if you were his Sgt., would you try to tell him he's not in regulation uniform?

That helmet really makes the figure look vintage. Good job.

The helmet and the pencil thin mustache. Seriously, such a small detail and so subtle, yet such an impact on establishing the era. Since the basic look could have fit in several war periods, the mustache solidified this as definitive WWII.
And the vest was wonderfully done.
