There are some lee majors heads out there if you want him even more authentic. That's what I've used on mine. Funny, but I made my first as part of the Adventure Team also.
For Big Jim, check out gijoey's work if you want some great ideas

Sure. This is the first one I did.
You can see I even put the AT logo on him. Second one had same head but better body parts choices (closer to show in color and style). Can't find those pics yet

It was originally a shrunken head cast I believe, perhaps by Keenan? Broken Arrow Toys used to carry them also.

"Actually...I was trying to do a maskatron....
He and Zartan are rivals....Cobra Commander uses them both for UC work. Which version is the question?" I think #2 is cooler but kinda defeats he purpose of disguise if he's all Mr. Roboto. Oh yeah, that Venus Probe used to scare the poop out of me, the sound that thing made made the hair stand on my head. I had wanted to do a retro custom of "Pulsar" but I can't figure a way to do that cool chest thing in 1/18 scale. Closest figure I could think of was those old X-Files Purity victims that Mcfarlane did for the first movie. But those are 6" figs I think.
