Hi guys!
I posted this over at my regular haunt (TNI), but I have been lurking here at Hisstank for a long time in order to admire the customs alot of you folks put out. I hope you don't mind me showing this here, but if it's a no-go please feel free to delete this thread. I just want to be part of the parade. ; D So, please take a look at my first submission to the 'Tank: The Resolute Cobra Officer! Parts: Head: Resolute Trooper Torso: DVD Pack Dusty Arms: Resolute Trooper Thighs: Resolute Trooper Lower Legs: Resolute Duke Feet: Beachhead Accesories: DTC webgear Dusty goggles RePlay Baseball player sports gloves So, I made this fellow for a couple reasons - first, I needed something easy to get me back into customizing, and I had all the right parts to make it work nicely without it being something everyone has already done. The idea behind the Cobra Officer is that he's the same as the Trooper, but he has nicer gear and is more manueverable. The only thing I regret is the lack of the traditional "V" rank designator... but I may add that in later, I just really prefered the red goggles as an indicator of this guys importance to the group. Never apologize for putting up a great custom!! just like you said, seeing inventive work inspires more customs!!!
Very well Done! BTW if you do put up the "v" officer designator where would you place it? Obviously the helmet, but I like the goggles and would hate to see that change! |

sweet custom man!
welcome aboard the Tank! if you are planning on doing the "v" designation I agree with goosetuber, I like the goggles as is perhaps one of the helmet's sides. kinda of like the chevrons you see on a uniform, but on the helmet instead. just a thought.

Very nice! I vote that you paint the officer designator "V" or whatever on the shoulder pads.

Thanks so much for the comments, guys! I really appreciate it. : )
For the "V" rank, I was thinking I'd just go with the traditional military fashion and put it on his lapels... and I liked the idea of putting it on the helmet ( has a sort of Nazi feel to it) but the suggestion of his shoulders sounds very slick - as soon as I decide how to do it best, that's what'll happen : ) Oh, and Arc - These are officers, man... they get first pick when the supply truck rolls into camp. Of course they'll get the better boots! I bet they fit, even! ; D Tom |
