I just take swap legs and helmets on Air Troopers/Troopers to get some red sigil, red mask troopers in black webgear.
And wave five SE meant Flint got poor ole 5 pack SE's hands. |

Simple works... but don't Flint's arms come out a little bit too short swapping parts like that?

They do; I tried to swap Flint's hands for Stinger Driver's. The results are terrible. Also, even with heat/boiling, the pegs for Flint/Duke's hands are so long, thin, and delicate, that they snap or break extremely easily. My Flint broke almost right when I got him in August, necessitating a many months long search for a replacement that only ended two days ago.

And wave five SE meant Flint got poor ole 5 pack SE's hands. I love this topic! The title, the wording, the "story inside the story" (because, just as the title suggests, the topic itself is unbelievably simple!). Your trooper custom sounds very clever! Less is more.

Get some SE gloves on Flint and in about 3 seconds you will be won over by the better proportions and asthetics. As mentioned above they are a bear to get off in one peice, the hand peg is very narrow and soft on that mold. |

ya know, i did a hand swap and i honestly think they look just fine...i swaped
a troops gloves to Flint and vice versa...nothing looks that unproportionate to me...i didn't have any breakage probs either...one thing though, the troops pegs are a hair smaller than Flints and aren't as tight, but they still hold guns and poses well |

Can't you just paint the ends of Flint's hands? Then maybe put some modeling putty around his wrist to make the edge of the glove.

ask and receive!
this took me 5 minutes and looks GREAT! i'll paint the neck black later. (hear that? yeah thats all the wave 2 troopers and single pack air troopers selling out all over the country. er, even faster.) *HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM* forgot the wave 2 trooper doesnt have a back hole! might have to drill one myself? otherwise this air trooper is permanently GROUNDED. Okay, nevermind he's good to go. used a RC car body hole cutter to start the hole, then expanded it with my screwdriver.

That's pretty cool! The silver logo looks better with the air trooper, and even without the jet, he looks like a shock troop officer.
Now the problem is to know when to stop.
