Finally got off my butt to post some pictures. This guy has been done for quite some time now. Sorry to all the folks who kept PM'ing me about him. I wanted my Cobra Mortal to be more than just a repainted Snake Eyes. I also wanted to give a reason as to why part of the guy was randomly colored red. I got the inspiration from Cobra Mortal's description indicating a brain like a computer. So my version of the Cobra Mortal is a cybernetic warrior. The red parts are his cybernetic limbs. I painted the entire figure gunmetal, then painted the silver. The cybernetic limbs were painted red and then the edges were painted with steel to make it look like the paint chipped. Anyways, hope you like the guy.

Nice job. I like him.
I always wondered why he was half red myself. Is his rifle attached to his backpack or just sitting up there?

Thanks Pyro.
What rifle is that? Is it from Marauder? The cybernetic parts came out great. This whole figure looks as though he is built for combat. He doesn't look very stealthy, but I don't guess he needs to.

Excellent! It's one of the most unique Cobra Mortal custom figures I had seen.

Not sure. I have yet to order from Marauder, but I believe this one may have come in a lot of GI Joe weapons I got over the summer. Since I pulled it out of my bits box, its true origin remains a mystery for now. Anyone recognize the rifle?
I sort of envisioned the silver suit as some sort of thermal camo. Not very useful for combat in most locals, but perhaps it hides him from other sensors. Last edited by Bamphalas; 12-09-2008 at 06:07 PM.. |
