The Ninja represents stealth, shadows, the quiet assassin, so I never really understood why the hell they wear anything but black. So I snatched up my Kamakura and decided to give him a new paint job and some new toys!
So here is the final product ... And here are a few of the WiP's .... Retail Kamakura .... Comments, critique always welcome, thanks for looking! |

Well, a black uniform isnt gonna provide much stealth for a ninja in an arctic environment, so different colors would work better for different situations.
Granted, in the Joeverse, the color of the Ninja Uniforms have never been about funtionality, but rather individuality, which is also important. Imagine if the toyline had designed every single character, from Grunt to Dial-Tone, to Robo-Joe all wearing the same greenshirt look as the original 13. And the only exceptions were the Ninja who were all wearing black. I doubt parents would have been willing to keep buying their kids figures when the ony difference would have been the headsculpt. Now, that said, this was in no was a critique of your awesome custom. I actually really like it. My comments were directly in response to the title of the thread, that all ninja should wear black. I just think it would be borning if they did. |

Because ninjas in all-black pajamas are mostly Hollywood myth. If anything they should be wearing terrain-appropriate camo. The only "real" ninja in form and function the joe line ever had was Firefly. And no, I'm not talking about that poppycock about him being an actual ninja.
But you're happy with it so that's what matters. |

thanks guys! It's just a simple repaint, but I am very happy with how the pack turned out, I'm just going to shorten the chucks at bit.
And sorry for the dark pics, the iphone sucks and my regular camera was charging, so I'll have a few more clearer pics up for future customs. |
