I've heard a lot of people hate on the new 12" figures. I think I'm one of the few who like em, but I guess that's because as a kid, I only had the smaller figures. Sure, the boots suck, and people don't like the molded shirts, but you can get new boots, and put clothes over the molded shirts, and the headsculpts on the features are all pretty beautiful. I got a few Hall of Fame figures for cheap recently, and while people don't like the shirts, the bodies are WAY better in terms of articulation.
Granted, I don't like all of them. Cobra Commander is really odd (going for a WWII Japanese feel... I think?), and Dusty and Duke are particularly pretty bland. However, give Duke a shirt and some new boots, and "crappy Conrad" gets pretty darn awesome looking. Shirt and boots are from Monkey Depot. Airborne Wings, Helmet and American Flag patch are from Cotswold collectibles. M-16 is from 12" Bazooka. My next project: Leader of the G.I. Joe team, a bomber jacket wearin' brigadier general, and one of my all time favorites... |

if they would have made the head articulation like the smaller joes I would consider. They necks on these guys mess it up for me.
However I could be wrong, its only what i see in the packages that makes me think they stiff. Never had one in hand..... |

The head articulation is a little better I think. With the 25th figures, it's on one ball joint, but the 12" have a swivel joint for the head, plus a ball joint connecting the neck to the body.

With a little bit of effort on your part, Duke looks great? Why can't Hasbro do the same???!!!! PTE makes great figures for less.

This looks great! I saw Flint in the store but the moulded shirt put me off...now i'm thinking of doing the same thing.

I"ve been tempted by a few of these, but the giraffe necks on the characters I like ruin it for me.
