Hey all
This is my take on a modern shipwreck /and polly of course/ inspired heavily by wry's awesome real world stuff. i had so much fun adding the detail to this guy and the others on my work bench it got quite costly but theres so much inspiration with wrys part choices and sculpting i am so hooked. I also love the idw storys and really like the idea of a more real world looking joe but still trying to keep the subtle things that make them the campy fun characters they are meant to be. The original roc shipwreck fig was my fav figure of the entire roc line he has great parts and an excellent head sculpt with a bit of beefin up and a shed load of gear he looks even better. i was very happy to see the dg shipwreck but not lucky enough to own one or be willing to pay ebay prices so this figure fills that void. im not sure if shippy would or could be a seal but thats what he is in my joeverse now. i went all black because i couldnt figure out how to paint the new AOR1 desert pattern that seals wear i believe. /please correct me if wrong-knowledge is power/ i actually painted him very dark grey and all his gear black but by the time i had finished highlighting and weathering him he just looked all black im happy with him but just realised i completley forgot to paint his watch! im also working on a wetsuit to go with him n they will be deployed on my flagg, ready for action. ROC shipwreck-torso, head, backpack and polly POC duke-legs 30th steel brigade-arms and collar all extra gear is from bravo team elite figures or sculpted salvaged from other random non joe figures. thanks for looking and i hope you like him. comments always appreciated |

Absolutely inspired work! Looks amazing, and reflects that IDW feel of real world base with enough flavor of the original to know who it is. Kick-ass custom; keep up the good work!
