I've always been lukewarm on the whole ninja thing, I really liked Storm Shadow's first appearance in the comics and I bought the figure in 84'. The figure needed to have a bit more of a military look for my taste. I stopped collecting in 86' so I didn't see the Strike Team version until recently, YOJOE.COM | Storm Shadow now we're talking! Here's my attempt at my first custom, Strike Team (camo) Storm Shadow. Repaint of the V2, his katana (long sword) and tanto (short sword) are painted black with a better point cut on them and a slight curve in the katana.
Added a file card, here's Storm Shadow FC in my Joeverse. Last edited by Brice B.; 11-25-2008 at 05:06 PM.. Reason: Added file card. |

incredibly cool...and accurate...question, why did you opt to not brown the boots?

Really simple answer to that question, I don't like the brown boots. The lower legs of comic pack (with Firefly) version of SS might have been a better match to the original but this is my first custom, I wanted it to be simple. I thought about painting his mask, arm/legs wrappings and rope blackish brown with a green wash but, again, I opted for the simpler route.

That's awesome! I recently got the Strike Force myself, and Jungle Stormy is great. One of those figures I thought I wouldn't like, and then I held it. How did you do the wash?
