I like Hasbro's 25th Anniversary Torpedo figure, it's easily one of my favourite figures from the 25th line, but one thing that's always bugged me about the various Torpedo figures we've gotten over the years is that he's always been depicted in plastic as a person of European descent, whereas in the cartoons and in the comics, his native Hawaiian lineage is much more apparent. I also wanted a version of Torpedo that wasn't just another guy in a wet-suit... it always struck me as heavy-handed how Hasbro's designers had to make it super-explicitly clear that the G.I. Joes sourced from the Navy were just that: with rare exceptions, they always had to to be dressed in "water gear" or crackerjack sailor costumes. Anyway, I had some loose Joe parts and accessories lying around, and kitbashed the following "Pursuit of Cobra"-style figure together—a version of Torpedo who's equipped to open a can of kick-ass in water as well as on land—while watching Game 5 of the Celtics-Heat series:

I like it, ZuluDelta! I agree, the naval Joes should be depicted in less stereotypical ways. Great job!!

Thanks for all the comments, guys. The great thing about something like this is that anybody can do it... no tools or painting required. Just some hot water and pliers for loosening stubborn joints for swapping and some nail polish remover to take off the Arashikage tattoo tampo.
