I loved my first custom of Cobra de Aco, but ended up selling him on ebay. I wanted to make a new one, but with better differences. This time around, I decided that the yellow had to go, and in place of that I used gold. It upholds the name of the "Steel Cobra" moreso this way.
Take a look at his face; I used a legions Storm Shadow that had a strange paint blob near his eyes that appear to look like a scar. I've kept this head for over a year for just the right custom.. Recipe: Head: Storm Shadow - legions Goggles: cp Firefly Torso, arms, upper legs: Tripwire Lower legs: Zartan Belt: Hawk v2 Backpack, Laser: Cobra Nightwatch I used Testor's acrylics and sealed it with Dullcote. More new customs to come! Last edited by UMAN; 03-23-2009 at 01:39 AM.. |

that's a great take on Cobra de Aco. Well done! He looks really badass when the goggles are on.

My first one used Zartan's upper legs. As far as the goggles go... SE's head is too distinct. I did use it on my Invasor custom though... coming shortly.

I'm making one of these guys myself. I really like the way the gold turned out. A little subdued, but definately better than plain yellow. I might go with a spare Snake Eyes head when I make mine, but that has more to do with how many extras of that I have than loyalty to the original design.
How'd you do the lettering on the base though? |
