I like the simpler CLAW but miss the look of the landing gear, however impractical it may have been...
I took some balsa wood, kit bashed two brake calipers from a Ford Focus model and made my own... Painted it white, cut off the second missile peg and glued them on... Doesn't look like much, and they are non functional, but I love how much better it looks with them on...

I like the new C.L.A.W. too, and I too think it needs something (besides another set of missile). The landing gear looks alright but there has to be another solution that's more seamless - just saying that because without the wheels on the front grip the wheels in the middle don't make sense. Does look better though than empty space or empty missile pegs.

You can just run really fast as you approach the ground and hope that you can get a running start as you come to a stop? |

i thought that the old claw landing gear worked espically well when you use the claw as a UAV with the back peg bomb

unfortunately not having any CLAWs (ahem!) i can't say for sure, but would having one fold down from the top/front be impractical from an aerodynamical point-of-view? and maybe reverse the direction of the fold-down wing versions...?

Bingo. I knew it was there for a reason. And, as previously stated - a person landing the glider would simply shut off the engins, coast in and run with it.
