...pales in comparison to this one. I've had a few stumbling blocks with the paint and I'm having to fab some parts, like chairs because I'n jewish and I refuse to pay $25 a piece for the orginal chairs (and I'm missing all of them for both my jets).
Still, your work is incredible. Maybe we should work together. You build the 90+ jets and I'll build the 62-foot-long 1/18th scale aircraft carrier! We'd get it done in the better part of a decade...

Jewish eh? Kick ass! Hell, I'm a dysfunctional Catholic - the nuns would probably beat my ass and Hell won't take me because they're afraid I'll take over and F*&k shi!t up. Funny you talk about building an aircraft carrier because I have an idea in mind to build one down the road. I considered building NACES II ejection seats but balancing the inherent inaccuracies... I figured it wasn't necessary since action figures in the cockpit were good enough. I have plane number 2 on the boards for VF-41 and I'm seriously considering putting in radar, retracting fuel probe this time. I have a bbi Hornet and I put a few changes to that. Down the road I would like to have my own small toy company! It's gonna be super hard work and a lot of logistics.
Hey, man, I dig you being motivated to even think about starting your own toy company. It'll be a lot of hard work, but start small and bust your ass, and I'm sure that people will buy from you. Hell, there's people that would buy your stuff on this site! Me included! Keep up the good work and never stop dreaming. That's the good thing about still being interested in toys... our imaginations never died.

Well, I'm actually a rarity... I'm an enthically jewish, non-practicing catholic... that's a mouthful.

You put out that Tomcat and I will work and toil to buy a palette's worth.
Just had a thought, why dont you come up with a TOMCAT conversion kit to allow us less then able customizers to change the SKYSTRIKER to allow it to sit on the ground with wings swung back but the landing gear is still engaged. I was also going to say, you could do squadron sheets as well or even cockpit sheets to add detail. I know you would rather start big, but there is quite a demand for these smaller things that are well within your realm of ability. just a thought. |

Yeah kits are getting to be a nice little niche market. I think there is a significant shortage for modification kits for 1:18. This is something that is hugely popular in 1/35 modeling. I think that 1:18 would be a great scale to start this in. Might be a great start to your toy company. I'm currently doing armor modifications to Patton and Walker Bulldog tanks.
