At first, I was disappointed in the crosses because they all came out sloppy, but they're growing on me. Now I think the shirt looks washed & the emblem's starting to flake, while they make the med kit look used.

Man what makes these pop is not the choice of parts, but the awesome paint job.

Bitchin' is the only word that comes to mind.
Perhaps hasbro could take a cue or two from you in the future. |

Thanks guys. I'm waiting on Pilot Scarlett for a tank driver I have in mind.
I pushed the envelope with my B.A.T.-man & the jetpack dude. I'm on the fence about this next thing I've been tinkering with. Not a final image. I might give him Commander Gree hands (full wrist articulation) & he'd get more paint apps. But what exactly should I do with him? First instinct is as a B.A.T.. But I eschew first instincts. Then I thought it'd be cool to go against expectations & make him a Joe. Maybe he was intended as a prototype for the next wave of B.A.T.s, but accidentally became sencient & rebelled against his makers. He could be the cool ass-kicker of The Next Thirteen analogous to Snake Eyes. Maybe he could even be Snake Eyes in a new cybernetic body. Problem with that is I was intentionally trying to avoid making a Snake Eyes scene-stealer (notice I split the martial artist role away from the infiltrator role with Rhino & Night Vision). Hell, maybe he's a Cobra, but an individual high-ranker instead of just a B.A.T.. I dunno. Had an unrelated idea I want to throw out - The half-B.A.T. guy is meant to be analogous to Duke. How about as my analog to General Hawk I cast a slightly greying General Falcon? I'd need to get hold of an extra Falcon for this . . . . TR1ER, your slings are awesome. I'd love to see a tutorial - with special focus on using the pin vise - bit size, securing the weapon, etc..

I'd love to see a tutorial - with special focus on using the pin vise - bit size, securing the weapon, etc.. Go with the SE idea in my opinion. SE has always been a tragic character, and now, having outlived Scarlett and his friends, SE is the only remaining of the original 13. Plus, for further emotional distress, you could have this new body able to talk, but he does not as the only person he ever wanted to talk to died years ago... Granted, this is just my opinion. I like the idea of "The Next Thirteen", you really have something there. The futuristic CC in your other thread is bad-ass. Your cyborg (dude, listen to the suggestion Southpaw is a rockin name) is incredible, as is the Jet Pack trooper. Is that a Dark Trooper helmet's remains I see on it? Still, the idea of futuristic Joes is fantastic, and I can't believe it's not something Hasbro has looked into. You have something here, and I beg of you to continue your work. |
