Following my first custom, Gretchen the Strato-Viper, I decided to make a custom figure of one of my friend's original characters from a story he's been working on as my sophomore effort . I'll spare you the details; just that his name is Alex St. Matthews, and he is an agent in the Ministry of Intelligence.
I plan on giving it to him as a Christmas present. He'd better appreciate it! Gotta give credit where credit is due; this is heavily inspired by Spectre's awesome Major Bludd custom. Seeing his work on that figure really made the lightbulb go off in my head, so big thanks to him! Recipe: Hair: Dr. Rex Lewis Head: PoC Hawk Torso/arms/hands/upper legs: Renegades Cobra Commander Lower legs: 25th Viper Belt / Lower coat: Resolute Cobra Commander Shoulder harness: Renegades Snake Eyes Glasses: Roc Baroness Katana / Scabbard: PoC Snake Eyes (Desert Battle) P90: Marauder FTW! Paint: Citadel Chaos Black Citadel Adeptus Battlegrey Folkart Metallic Sterling Silver Pics: Last edited by Inverse Midas; 12-24-2011 at 03:39 AM.. |

Awesome!
The parts choice is great! I really like how the slim body works with those viper's boots. Paint is really smooth and clean. Great design, great execution. The only thing i can criticize is that Rex's wig seems a bit high. Everything else is absolutely perfect. Btw, it could easily work as a Tomax/Xamot update! .

Great looking custom. I like hoe the Resolute CC skirt looks with the Renegades CC coat. Every thing on this figure works well together.

I like this guy. Nice overall design and good parts use. If I saw it in a store I'd buy it.

Thanks for the comments! I agree that the wig is sitting a little high, but I didn't want to cut the hair or the high collar to accommodate.
I gave it to my friend earlier today; he loved it. And again, huge props to Spectre for coming up with the whole bridge coat look and base recipe. He was also kind enough to give me advice before I started out with my custom. A real class act. Last edited by Inverse Midas; 12-24-2011 at 06:13 PM.. |
