This project started because I bought the Cobra Commander / Tripwire comic pack. I only bought it for the CC body for another custom. However when I opened it I found that I really liked the Tripwire figure. Now I only collect Cobras, so I had to figure out something to do with it. The original Flak Viper head was pretty similar so, I thought I'd make an updated Flak Viper. The original came in a god awful teal, bright green and gray color scheme, and is pretty cheesy if you ask me, spring loaded missile back pack and all. So, I decided to reinvent this figure pretty much from scratch. So my Flak Viper fills the role of the original as anti-aircraft infantry, but in an updated "modern era" look. I also wanted him to fit in with the standard vipers, as I envision them working as support for larger Viper squads. I hope to find him a back pack with missiles on it, maybe Bazooka's.

I like it. Just as an aside, actually looking at the blue painted helmet, I realize tripwires head could be used as an alternate televiper head as well.

Wow super necro thread. I can't believe it's been nearly 8 years since I made that. I still have him in my Cobra army.
