Well I recently got into the whole customs thing and this is one of the first figures I did. I have always wanted a BAT that was designed as a ninja/assassin so I made one! This is my custom, the Battle Android Trooper Assassin(pronounced Beta)! His head, legs, and torso are actually from a Corps figure(A sin I know but isnt it nice to see a head you have never seen before and dont associate with another character? I think so). His chest is from Zartan and his arms are the original arms that came with most of the first year Joes except they were from a remake that has the softer plastic. I disassembled then painted then painted again then sprayed some stuff that is designed to seal pastels onto paper(its seems to work well for sealing paint on plastic though.) I also cut off the lower right arm and chopped off the end of a larger scale than 1:16 figures m16. Sharpened up the main barrel a little to make it look like a blade. I drew up a little filecard art and script real fast. I dont have the time to photoshop it and make it look like a real product unfortunately. Please let me know what you think of it! Anyways this is my B.A.T.A.!!!
P.S. I assume you cant read what I wrote in my sketch book so I will type it out for you. Cobra Filecard: B.A.T.A Battle Android Trooper Assassin In attempt to assassinate the President of the United States Storm Shadow Worked with the arms dealer Destro and scientist Dr. Mindbender to create the perfect disposable assassin. Storm Shadow's fighting style was transfered directly into the B.A.T.A. making him a martial arts expert in multiple fighting styles. His Silenced weaponry and advanced stealth suit are what make the B.A.T.A. the best at stealing, assassinating, and reconnaissance missions. In the event that the B.A.T.A fails his mission he has C4 strapped to his chest, he is ready to self destruct at any given moment. The B.A.T.A. is Cobra's ultimate disposable killing machine. "Before you question his 100% success rate, remember who his master is." -Storm Shadow Last edited by Fierce Krypton; 08-13-2008 at 12:31 AM.. |

Im not feeling any love...or hate for that matter. I know he's not 25th and I know its not very advanced stuff but somebody let me know what they think of this custom and the idea behind him.

It's a good original concept and I really like the file card descripyion alot. The figure also looks graet I would love to see a 25th style custom of it. Just because you can do alot more with that body style. Graet job!

It would take some green stuff which sadly I dont have enough money for to make a 25th style. I like the proportions of the 25th but I will prob always be an O-Ring guy through and through. Thanks for the feedback, means a lot to me.

Well I just saw this and I think the design is really quite nice and I like your back story...while the concept of a "disposable assassin" is not new, I think the BAT assassin is a neat twist. You incorporated the head very well. Don't be discouraged, I think you may have stunned some people with a non 25th custom and it is well done. I can actually see this tranlating to 25th style quite easily by using the current Zartan/Major Bludd body. Keep it up!

Well if anyone gets a sudden burst of inspiration to create a 25th of him go ahead! More power to yuh! I would love to see it as a 25th. Like I said I just dont have the resources. Honestly I was never the kid who like the same classic characters. I liked when I would find some random guy who I had never seen on the show that I liked the figure of. I especially loved when they would have a filecard that would get my imagination. Thats what this guy did for me once he was finished up. Thanks again for feedback.

What head is that exactly? It could really work well for a couple of concepts. It really is a nice combo.
