So I decided to make a new post about this, since the old title kinda sucked and all that..
So here goes with the information. I enjoy most of the Hasbro 25th Style figures exactly how they are BUT there is a few that well, Bother me, alot. And thats the purpose of this post. 1) 1st Sgt Lower Arms: I can't stand the "I just killed myself" Suicide POA, so I've re-sculpted the arms below the rolled up sleeve to be well more aesthetically pleasing. the Hands can still be rotated, but the POA is no longer mid lower arm, but is located at the sleeve. It hides better there, and no suicide slice marks. I'm still trying to figure out how to Correct the range of motion problem without modifying the upper arm any. I have a pretty good idea, but need to pick up a few tools at the hobby shop. 2) Serpent Trooper: Most everyone hates the "broke wrist" syndrome of this figure, and I agree, I love everything else, but that one problem ruins it. So I'm re-sculpting the lower arms to be just straighter. 3) Tank Driver Visor: One of the biggest issue I have with Alot of figures is the lack of Certain accessories. The Communication-Serpent missing his backpack and Scanner Gun thing, etc.. Well the first in updated custom made pieces is the Tank Drivers Insane Huge Visor. Based off the 1982 figure. 4) Communication-Serpent Backpack and gun, with the hose. And maybe some Corrected corrected arms. 5) Extra accessories like Maglites, backpacks, guns, Toilets, etc.. And much much more to come Any input would be great. Any comments, requests, witty remarks, its all good. |

Here's something I did based on boba fett's custom here:
http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...ch-better.html Basically taking the lower cuff of the Duke arms and hollowing them out to fit over the bottom of the upper arms. It gives the appearance of short sleeves without a lot of work. maybe a cast of just the lower cuff portion to slide over the upper arms would be an idea. |

Mr Clean: Did you use Shipwreck's Forearms? That would look really out of place on Duke, and most of the other Legions of figures that use his arms.
My goal with what I'm doing is to have Easily swappable Original lower arms to the corrected Lower arms. So if someone was to for some reason want to put the real arms back on (if they were selling it etc) they easily could and there would be nothing changed to the base figure at all. It'd be super easy to toss Shipwreck lower arms on everyone with Duke lower arms, and do the hollowed out sleeve but I just don't think it would look right for Breaker to have such huge ass forearms, he is a communication guy, he wouldn't have massive sailor arms. But People are free to do as they wish, as I stated this is basically just me fixing my stuff and offering it to others that want to do the same. |

I forgot to mention I only did this on Rock and Roll, which looks fine with the Shipwreck arms. But Breaker for instance, I don't think would work with the "popeye" look. with any others with short sleeves that were unlucky enough to get Duke's arms (Falcon, Red Star, Breaker, Clutch), then I'd rather find some others similar to Tomax's, but without the gloves. As far as Duke, I'd rather he keep the 3/4 length sleeves, but without the suicide slit.
