HI guys, so I was going through some of the SW figs i bought a few nights ago for 4.59 at Target, and was wondering if anyone has mixed and matched the two.....is it possible? If so does anyone have some tricks to share?

I'm not sure I'm responding to your question correctly, but I've seen lots of customs around here that use Star Wars parts on Joes. Arms can be done with some work. Head switches are possible -- I put a Bail Organa head on a Hawk body and added an Anti-Tank weapon accessory to make a Zap figure.
The ball joint on the Joes can be smaller than the sockets in Star Wars head, so hot glue or wax to fill the space is one solution. Heck, playdoh or silly putty might do the trick. Accessories are the easiest; stuff like helmets, capes, harnesses. |

I use Star wars parts all the time. I have developed a way to convert the legs to use with 25th joes. I am currently working on a techno-viper using a modded biker scout head and annihilator using the upper torso of the same biker scout. I have used the evo-trooper, a couple of the pilots and mara jade as well for various customs. I use the arms, hoses, heads, and pretty much any other part of the star wars figure if I can figure out how to use it.

With the change to the 25th Ann and SW getting away from the cut joints they swap back and forth really well. With a little work, even the legs can be used. Good luck with your project.

Can someone post a way to meld the upper half of a SW with a lower half of a Joe (at the waist)? Or SW legs melded with a Joe’s body (SW legs attached at the T or just below)? I know every figure is different, but maybe give some examples that you have used that worked. I have been trying to get this working some time now with limited success. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. |
