Here's a 25th take on the ever popular Sea Slug!
Seriously, though, this figure was fun to make. Body was RIT dyed, for the most part. Hands, feet, goggles, belt, and boot armor was all provided by various Star Wars figures. Fits nicely into the Sea Ray. This was one of my favorite vehicles as a kid, so I felt I had to make the appropriate driver (since I doubt Hasbro would consider such a character). Comments appreciated. Thanks for looking! Vincent |

Heavy Metal was actually the first Joe I ever owned. I just loved the crazy outfit! My 25th version is toned down, in an attempt at some uniformity. Vest, arms, belt, and head are from various Star Wars figures. I may change the helmet if I find a better one.

I always liked this figure, though I didn't own one until the 90's. Since I never had the shoulder holster for him, I grew to appreciate the figure without it, and decided the 25th version should be no different. Head and hands were provided by Star Wars figures, and all repainting was done with Tamiya paints, 15° lacquer and standard lacquer thinner.

I never owned the original, but I always loved the character in the comics, and wished for so long to see a 25th version. However, it seems, based on past Joecons, if hasbro shows us how to customize a figure, they're rather content to leave it to us than to make it themselves. Well, hope I'm wrong, but if I'm not, I still have this one!
The hat belonged to Gung-ho, for those who may be wondering. All repainting was done with Tamiya paints, 15° lacquer and standard lacquer thinner. Comments appreciated. Thanks for looking! Vincent |

This guy always reminded me of the Colonial Marines from Aliens. Come to think of it, his original "steadycam-gun" was likely inspired from the film in question. I didn't have anything like that for this custom, but since I was dying to use Marauder's mini, I felt my 25th Repeater could use a... somewhat more common weapon.
The body came from the wave 1 comic pack Duke, the legs stripped of their paint with fast lacquer thinner (something I only recommend to people who know what their doing), and the hat was hand-sculpted by myself. I couldn't justify buying another Gung-ho just for the hat, and I'm glad I didn't; making my own was much more fun! Comments appreciated. Thanks for looking! Vincent |

Probably my favorite figure from the 80's. He didn't do a whole lot in the comics, but I always thought he looked cool. I remember when I was older I sewed a black trenchcoat for mine, making him even cooler.
I suppose I have to admit I'm not the only one to make a custom like this. Actually, I made it a long time ago, but have really just been waiting for the Comic pack Firefly to come along so I could replace Low-Light's goggles, making him look more like the 80's version. I always kinda liked the character, but mostly, once the 25th Shipwreak came out, I was anxious to make customs, and Cutter seemed like the easiest to do at the time.
The hat was sculpted by hand, and the "B" is a sculpted element. Shippy poses for comparison pics. Comments appreciated. Thanks for looking! Vincent |

I think I'm probably the only person to customize this character. To be honest, aside from Snow Job and Iceberg, this is one of my favorite cold-weather Joes. I probably like him only 'cause he was in the old Nintendo game back in the day.
The figure is kinda plain, I guess. I never really knew what to do with it, and ended up keeping him rather simple. Still, I think the old Blizzard helmet actually looks fine, scale-wise, with the rest of the figure. Comments appreciated. Thanks for looking! Vincent |

Probably my personaly favorite Joe pilot. I loved the Phantom jet (even though it was WAY too big for me to play with when I was little). Still, I felt ol'whatshisname needed the 25th treatment, so here it is.
Arms and vest came from Star Wars figures, as did the helmet. The scarf is the same one that came with the original figure. Painting was done with Tamiya paints, 15° lacquer and standard lacquer thinner. Comments appreciated. Thanks for looking! Vincent |
