nah, no problem at all bro; it's cool. I don't take it as bad or anything. I just thought I'd share regardless since I was going try painting it. Going back to check it out while drying it made me think of the Oakland Raiders...silver and black. I really should have taken pics before I did anything to show how it looked.
I don't plan on doing many customs or anything, but I figured it'd give me a little project to do. This will be next one. I just won this on eBay. It's a septic tank with the regular hiss tank canopy and turret. apparently, the tabs on the turret are broken, but I was told they stay up nicely. I could always get another turret if I had to. I'm not sure what color I'm going to use, but my idea was very basic. I plan on taking off the canopy, turret, and treads and paint the body one color. It will be one piece to paint so I shouldn't be able to mess that up too badly. I could separate the body into 2 parts and use 2 colors, but I'm not sure if I want to do that. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN:IT&ih=021

I put the final coat of paint on about 30 mins ago. I'm going to let it dry and then put the clear coat after midnight. I'll take some pics then and hopefully I'll be all set to put it together again tomorrow morning.

OK, I finished. The paint made putting some of it back together a little tight in a few spots (missiles in the hidden rack, tab on engine cover) and a little bit of the paint came off. Oh well, it's only noticeable when the missiles are removed and looking up close at the other spot. Overall, I'm happy with how it came out. Here are some pics.
flat black pieces after clear coat silver aluminum pieces after clear coat

Those colors work really well together. All it needs now is some decals. Good job, man.
