This was a mostly simple custom, it's primarally Duke (v 43, the one with the awesome head sculpt). Well I hated the purple body armor (seriously!?!?) And the purple weapon pack? Well that became the basis of Fast Draw (http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...ll-azoric.html) Coincidentally I started playing with my Dremmel tool and decapitated a Star Wars Episode II Obi-Wan Kenobi. After trying to find a body where that head looked best I settled on the Duke body and he was suddenly Rock N' Roll! The backpack is from a 25th Snake Eyes (I think) and the machetti maybe from StormShadow, the one with the motorcycle (I think) The machine gun is DEFINATELY from my origional 82 Rock N' Roll! Talk about a Joe accessory that's seen some battles! I found it fitting that 29 years later it gets used again, espeically after I barely played with my straight arm figures after Swivel-arm came out. Here's the rest of the photos Last edited by azoric; 05-05-2011 at 12:10 AM.. |

That head works perfectly! I am so stealing that idea....lol.
My local stores finally got in wave 3 yesterday. I bought one of each figure and all the Shock Troopers they had and after looking at Duke (the only one I hadn't had before hand) I was floored at how good this figure is. The head sculpt is amazing and I went back and bought another 7 today to use as customs and exchange Dukes head on some of the crappy ones, like the ROC Channing "Tater-head" Tatum ones. Oh and some more Snake Eyes cause...well...do I need a reason? Anyway, great use of Dukes body, this is a cool upgrade to a rather dull old school 25th release. Would of prefered this figure in wave 6 rather than banana-Croc Master.

That head is perfect for RnR and great choice of body for him too, the only thing I would change is the green you used for the armour I would have made it a little lighter for a more subtle look. But thats just me, greaat job man.
