I know it's been done, but I really hated the spaceman Ace, so he got a makeover. I used Tamiya Light Grey, Light Sea Grey, Khaki Drab and flat black. His helmet came from the pilot included in the BBI F-16 Falcon, which is Ace's new ride. Like I said, easy repaint with some black wash and drybrushing.

Thanks everyone! Yes, I did repaint the eyes, but I didn't touch the hair. I was going to redo the whole face, but thought better of it since he is going to have the helmet going on and coming off.

nice paint job...how did you paint the joints tho...everytime i paint it the paint like comes off when i move the joints...maybe im using the wrong paint if so what is the best paint to use??

I like Tamiya and Liquitex as they tend to be a little stronger. Also a little sealer helps, though Ace has not yet been sealed. But, for the joints I like to thin the paint a little and paint it several times, almost like you are staining the joint instead of painting it.

nice job...although he is not classicly painted he just looks better and more like a pilot...the helmet really helps...
