I debuted this costume Friday at Anime Central, in Rosemont, Illinois. The facists in security let me walk around all day (9:30am-9:15pm) with that sword, proper safety precautions taken, to ensure it couldn't come out of the sheath, and waited until the very end of the night (9:15pm) to tell me that it wasn't safe, because it was, and I quote: "too heavy." They weren't worried about the blade, they were worried I might bludgeon someone with it. <_<" At least I got some good pics first. Let me tell you, though - tabi boots are f***ing uncomfortable. There's your foot, the thin, rubber sole of the boot, and the surface you're walking on. That's it. I tried some makeshift padding on Saturday & Sunday, but it didn't do much... T_T" |

Well, at least they let you wear it the first day, right? (And it looks like you've discovered how useless it is to carry a sword on your back :P )
Pretty cool, mate.

Oh, yeah. When I first got the sword, I put it on, and tried to pull it out. I got maybe a foot of the blade exposed before my wrist stopped bending...LOL
And, thanks. |

That's because the blade is too long, and straight. Hollywood does wonders for anything "real". Nice digs though...

Thanks, guys! ^_^
I'm gonna start working out again soon, so hopefully the next time I wear it, I'll look less...marshmallowy... T_T" Oh! And, thanks to WildWeasel for the Cobra Sigil I used for the homemade "patch"... |
