i just got the 7 pack recondo, he is very plain and cant hold his rifle very well, so while he does very closely resemble his ARAH counterpart, i think the articulation and extreme detail of the 2010 line is going to be a fantastic turn for the brand

I looked at most of these new figures in the display case today at the con... I gotta say.. The sculpting is A-Freakin-mazing. If the ship toys look half as good as what they have on display... People are just going to be blown away. I had to go back and stare at them 3 or 4 times. Beautiful work.

I just managed to see almost all the new stuff here; damn it took a while for me to catch up. There's a lot of them! And I just keep ooh-ing and aah-ing at each one, seriously.
I like all the modernizing they've done with the 25th, the reimagining for Rise of Cobra, but I just go nuts for like half the new stuff they had planned for those lines. I guess they were just saving up all their energy for a big boom next year! And wow, they actually managed to get to a Big Lob. I don't collect those non-25th sculpts (I only started like, December last year, heh) but it's great to see they're doing so much now. Sure we (at least I) still need more of the popular people like Slaughter, Sci-Fi, Jinx, Low Light, classic Cover Girl etc, and better updates like a non-Slaughter head for Gung-Ho, Cutter and Leatherneck; a minimized movie Duke head, a better jaw for movie Cover Girl and Baroness...but to me right now those are just minimal. As long as they keep wowing me with this stuff I'd keep forgetting the other--*sees Shadow Tracker*--where was I? But this is coming from a relatively new fan to Joe. I don't know how the others feel about the new stuff that's coming out (i kinda don't want to read through 81 pages just to see how everyone else feels about this, lol). I'm just sorta new to all this; again, I just started paying attention to Joes last December. Hell I didn't even watch much of the 80s cartoon when I was a kid, I actually saw Roadblock 2-3 and I kept thinking "he's probably their leader or something" >_> Last edited by teddyboy09; 08-15-2009 at 10:55 PM.. |

After going to SDCC 2009...putting up with the lack of organization of Hasbro and service. Then realizing that their product just doesn't excite me anymore, it's rehashed material (except the Resolute line. all my apologies to Hasbro if they restart the resolute figs). I am going to collect a joe line that is IMO a better overall collectible. That after a period of time won't be found in the clearance isles of your local retail store......Sideshow's GI Joe Line. Yes they are expensive, yes they are not a child's toy, yes they are limited in number. But to me, they are the pinnacle of what a collectible line is. Not ooooing and Ahhing over future releases of retail toys at a con.
