This will be my first Joecon. When do they sell tickets? How does that work?

So if the only day I can go is Sunday, do they still have a club store for that day? Will there be any exclusives left?

i'm with you guys. this will be my first and last joecon. i'll have my wife in tow who is learning about joe and loves my passion for it.
i've asked a few "pro's" on facebook for any tips for a first timer like what should i do when i get there to register because i hear there is a monster line. that kinda thing. never once got a responce back. emailed the club and said hey will you have a faq's thing on your site answering common questions that might help someone new to this con. all i got back was we will post details about the con in the spring. i'd love for someone to HONESTLY post a run down. ok day one you should do this...from there this and that.... i'm guessing once you get past the initial sign in process and go through the store the rest is up to you. i just like to plan out the things i do ahead of time, must be the military man in me lol |

It's just a waiting game until the Club post the itinerary but The very basic run down is...
Registration will go live a few months prior to the con. A few weeks just before the Show they will post the itinerary. Package for registered attendees will be will on Weds for golden tickets, Thurs for everyone else. With package pick up you will get a store order form. Next Move on to the club store Fill out what you want and buy. Fri is Showroom Sat I believe is the 1st day open to the public. Hope this helps.

We have never purchased the golden ticket, so our experiences are based on the common line. We’ve learned a few things over the years and have worked in teams with one team waiting in the pickup line while the other waitied in the store line. You gotta get your timing right because you can’t get into the store with out 1st picking up your package. We bring snacks and entertainment to keep us busy while we wait. Then try to always use cash in the store line as that moves you faster. We always shop for food at the con (two boys now 18/16 eat a lot) and try to get our rooms with the kitchenette so we can do most of our eating in our room. You would be surprised how many meals can be made in a microwave! We usually hit the con floor in the morning and then go to the speakers that interest us in between, again packing refreshments! Overall my boys love the wheeling and dealing and have a really great eye for cool small items. We are looking forward to this con as a family! |

So I have a question for those of you that have gone to multiple Cons and have brought non-Club members and or kids. I went to the con in Springfield and brought my dad and son. In order for my dad to go I had to pay the $100+ fee for the "Attendee Aid". WTH is that first of all? The Aid gets no benefits except to walk around and essentially hold my bags haha. My son is 10 now and I fear that I may have to pay for him and my dad again. I emailed the club and asked why someone coming just for the fun has to pay so much to do nothing. No response yet, shocker right. Anyway, the last few years have you guys still had to pay the 190ish for your kids to go? Or do you just purchase an extra package in their name? My thing is the extra money could be spent on other items. Let me know what you guys think.
