Since the 2016 JoeCon will be somewhat close by, I will try to go...
I was wondering if it's a good place to get random parts and are they cool on prices or more like eBay? I'm looking for random bits that I cannot seem to find online, parts like the wing from the 1988 Action Pack Cobra Gyrocopter without having to buy a whole vehicle... and one of the Terror Drome large cannon mounts, but don't really want to pay a super premium like they are on eBay. If you've gone to a con, can you tell me if there are vendors with massive parts for sale. I'll probably write out a list of random things I need. Thanks.

I would say that there are vendors with a lot of parts. If you have a list of what you are looking for and don't mind sitting around digging through bins for a while, you may find quite a bit you are looking for.
As far as price, I feel like most vendors are less than ebay. I picked up some pretty nice vintage vehicles last year for what I felt were reasonable prices. Keep in mind there is no shipping charge, so a part that is $1 + $2.99 shipping may just cost you $1.

Oh yes.
Massive bins of parts and accessories. Small parts start at $1. The more parts you get from one vender, the better the deal you can get. |

Thanks guys... my list is very random! Ha.
I'm almost like a hoarder... I hate getting rid of shells if I can find pieces for it. Sometimes I spend more restoring a vehicle than I could have just buying it 100% complete to start with.... but it's more fun to piece together a vehicle.

Every time someone restores a GIJoe vehicle from a shell, an angel gets its wings.

A 1990 Avalanche. I'm not really attached to this vehicle. I was given a customized version as a gift, but it contained all the little bits I needed except the handlebars and wheels. I was able to pick up the wheels and other bits for $10. Then I found a really good quality hovercraft for $14. Then I found a super nice white shell for $10. Finally found another shell for $13 that was bare, except the elusive handlebars. Stickers from JRuben topped it off at another $10... So I was into this thing for $57 bucks... You can easily get a complete one on eBay for under $40. But it's fun to take this... And this... And end up with this... But I would have rather just gotten the pieces all at once and a little bit cheaper than what I did. Thanks for the advice and encouragement.

I had my (from childhood) next-door neighbor's ASP shell and restored it (save for customized cannons) for a relative fortune considering what it costs. Put tons into restoring three Snow Cats. Still the right thing to do.

That toy store form IN always has totes full of vehicle shells for free! I've picked up tank treads and vehicles from them for other projects. There is a lot of stuff there, the most Joe stuff you'll see in one place, other then my house!
