the sky patrol figs would be great for the parajumper figs, the bats they did this past year was terrible in my opinion. the rtv ( hammer jeep ) was cool but i was bummed they didnt give bullhorn his mask. and they should of made a cobra vehicle for the headhunter set, i thaught they were going to make a cobra rage but they never did. the headhunter set was very cool exspecially because of the bats but i know some people did not care for the set since it was 90's figures. the bats are what made that set so awsome.

Or how about a sub-team like this: a 5-7 member team of the sub-group that never was: Battle Rangers (They were supposed to come out in 1994, but the line was canceled just before they went into production - kind of a neat idea for collectors). I think Flint was supposed to lead that group.
That was the best idea of a Sub-Group they ever had. I think Footloose was supposed to be in that group as well - which means he would have been Ranger qualified... Alas, poor Footloose, you may never be a Ranger. If they could do it now, with really realistic camo and accessories, that would be fantastic. They could use some original molds. Flint and Footloose were some of the best looking figures they ever made. I would love Low-Light to be on that team. The Ranger Regiment wears Khaki berets, that could work for some of them... may be these guys could be on the roster: Rapid Fire (Finally fix his costume and give him a uniform!): C-O Muskrat Repeater Free Fall Recoil Hit & Run Side Track v2 Those are all Rangers who haven't done anything in a long time. And who wouldn't want to see a better version of Rapid Fire with nice, new editions of some of our favorite Rangers?

How about another/new set of Mega Marines? Give that sub-team a chance to redeem itself...
Use some of the Marines on the current roster with updated uniforms. Blast Off, for example, could be good if his costume wasn't so crazy. Add in some new Marines (yes, I'm hoping for an Recon Officer). Mega Marines could be a great pack of figures. A great Amphibious assault force if they took it seriously. Put that with some Cobras to even it out and it adds up to a 15 pack set that I would be VERY interested in buying.

Here are some guys I'd like to see done up right in more precise woodland/jungle camo: Spearhead, Claymore, Repeater, Recondo, Recoil and Gung-Ho.
Spearhead and Claymore are great characters, but those uniforms could only blend in a Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory. |

well alot of collectors didnt care for the mega marines because of the crazy colors, but i think that a few of them were cool like blast off. im wanting either a nightforce remake or some kind of scuba team with wet suit and some other divers they could make for a first. also they could do the cobra eels and undertow, and hydro viper for the cobra team. it would be cool , give us a whale and hydrofoil. i know they did the tiger force hydrofoil a few years back. there could be alot of great ideas. really im hoping this year they will give us more vintage figs then they normally do and more vehicles.

WET-SUIT IS A SEAL NOT A DIVER!!!
Sorry, pet peeve of mine... I like how the convention sets take a couple of obscure characters, Hardtop and Major Storm being prime examples.

LOL!!! HA HA HA HA
I knew as soon as Coola posted it, you would be all over it. Hilarious! I was sitting here waiting for it. But the idea of a diving team wouldn't be bad... and why not do it with a tip of the cap to the Coast Guard. Have Cutter lead a team of new Characters: Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers. Some of them could be divers, and some could be more surface swimmers with snorkels, some could even do the rock climbing/rescue stuff. A Coast Guard Rescue Team lead by Cutter could be good... so could an Air Force PJ Team. Troynos, did you see that Post I left for you about the LRRPs on your thread?

My bet is on RI. With 2009 helming the movie, Hasbro will want to make a fuss about it at HQ, just like when Transformers dropped in 2007. They put on an awesome TF Con so if RI does bag it, this will be something to look forward to!!
I'll be there for sure if it RI. The TF07 Con was like an hour away from me, & I'm betting this will be at the same place. Last edited by Steel Brigade; 11-10-2008 at 12:38 AM.. |
