Some of you may have seen the collection of custom hardcovers I did of my GIJoe comics collection. I just got my latest volumes back from the bindery and thought I'd share. I can't get the smile off my face. Enjoy!

part of me thinks I should ridicule you and force you to post this in the "what's the nerdiest thing you've ever done" thread,
then the other part of me thinks that this is the coolest thing in the history of cool. I'm so torn...

Thanks everyone!
CH33, I won't say that it's not nerdy, but I'm not alone There is an entire sub-hobby of comics collecting that is into binding hardcovers. I've done other series and titles as well. You can see some of my other projects and those of others here: Bound Comics Gallery - The Comic Forums Beware, it's addictive! Last edited by nacho; 10-15-2008 at 10:13 PM.. |

Yes, they are permanently bound just like any other hardback book. That's why I collected a full second set of everything so I'd still have floppies in longboxes too. I know it's crazy, but really cool too. It makes me smile every time I walk past the bookcase.

They look awesome and will be preserved well for years to come.
What is the cost of something like this? |

Does it bother you that the last 5 of your books the Joe logo is higher than the rest? Cause that would drive me frickin NUTS!
I'm so jealous of your collection though, it looks absolutely great man. Absolutely great.
