After a month of putting it off- Finally started the huge task of unpacking all this crap I've hoarded.
This is mostly ONLY vehicles so far... And not all of them... I think I can fit the Uss Flagg on the top of these 4 bookshelves, and then most of my aircraft can go back on the Flagg's deck... But even then I still have a box full of Trubble Bubbles, Firebats and Fangs, Arctic stuff, and 4 or 500 hundred action figures to set up... Ugh... Yeah feel sorry for me Oh no, too many toys- What a horrible world I live in. Have 2 more huge bookshelves to put together and need to find a home for The Falcon. The kitchen counter doesn't make a good diorama. Go figure. Last edited by In Like Flint; 10-01-2011 at 08:21 PM.. |

Um, I hate to break it to you but that Man cave will not hold all that... make sure to have back up space like the living room or family room for alternate display options as wife allows...lol! I have personal experience in this. Great start so far. Your pics are a bit dark with the vehicles on the dark shelves. Do you plan on lighting them or doing any dio back grounds with them?

Still boxed up- I moved recently, from a 1 and 1/2 bedroom house to a way bigger (and less expensive) 2 bedroom apartment. I've been slowly getting new bookshelves put together and unpacking.
I think next weekend I'll have these last 2 shelves put together and finally get everybody and their weapons sorted out and displayed again- So definitely a LOT more pics coming |

Now that I'm used to being single again, I really don't care what a chick thinks about my hobby. But I'd still like to keep everything confined to one room, less likely to scare the womenfolk off with my geekiness- AND less likely to attract a chick who's ONLY into me for my geekiness. Some she-nerds are even more annoying than the male of the species. Scary! I don't want hello kitty and nightmare before christmas shit all over the place. Even though nightmare before christmas is kinda cool. That was a few ex's ago The ex wife however, seemed to be ok with her smelly horse stuff and dressage clothes crap everywhere, but God forbid I leave bunch of half completed customs all over the coffey table. SO after she moved out, of course the ENTIRE house had toys displayed all over it- But, it just looked kind of sad in retrospect. So I'm allowing myself to let this room look like a 9 year old boy decorated it. But everything else will look like snobby yuppie house. With a few comic trade paperbacks and dvds scattered around. For like, color and whatnot. |

I just quoted myself in my own signature, cuz that's the funniest thing I've heard today- Kinda sad really.
