WANTED: Snake Eyes wave 5 variant

Hello all,

I am looking for a wave 5 black Snake Eyes (the version without his wolf Timber) on a factory sealed card that has the old style diaper crotch waist, not the narrow/fixed waist.

For trade I have vintage GI Joe figures 82-88 including variations and rare accessories, and 25th Anniversary variants loose or MOC from waves 1 through 6 (all except the yellow Stalker, unfortunately), including the detailed buckle outline hooded Cobra Commander MOC, Gung-Ho with unpainted anchor on hat MOC, etc. Please send a PM with your want list if you have one of these Snake Eyes figures for sale and/or trade. I'm with Amber on this. I don't think Wave 5 SE had the diaper crotch. But we could be wrong.

it wouldnt make sense to make it... not that it doesnt exist.. but why spend money to re-tool a part and then repackage it with the same issue it had that caused the revision in the first place?

It is true, I am uncertain whether or not this piece does exist. But according to Hisstank member Ogre_H, he has seen one previously on a shelf at a Target. The only photos I have seen that show this variant are stock photos from online auctions, sadly. Here is an example:

Obviously it is a stock photo, and the seller confirmed that he/she does not have the "diaper" version as the auction shows. It is possible that a few made it out there, but it is not likely and I know it is not the most desired version to have since everyone prefers the narrow/fixed version.

This is a little off subject but I found a fixed Crotch Snake Eyes in a Joe 5 pack today. How rare is this? I have not seen one of these before.

It is very tough to find...I found mine out of state at a random K-Mart many miles from home. The same 5-pack had a Gung-Ho with the unpainted anchor (same color as his hat).

This black Snake Eyes from wave 5 that I am looking for has only been found on two date stamps apparently, 73091 and 73161.

The Gung-Ho has a fixed crotch with a painted anchor. I also found it at a K-mart. I have never seen the one you are looking for.
