I'm going to the con, but it's in spite of not because of this year's set. I simply don't want a 25th style set.....so I have decided to offer my set up on the boards. Here's the way I would like it to work, but I'm flexible on the details:
I will be selling the set at or very close to my cost. I don't want to 'scalp' this set, or even to make much, if any, money on it. I will also be charging only exact shipping, to be determined when I return from the con and get it packaged up. I would like to get payment for the set itself in advance via Paypal. I only ask this because I don't want to sink a bunch of cash into the set and not have much cash left for spending money while I am there. Ideally, I would like to get the payment about a week before the actual convention. A second payment can be made after the con to cover the shipping. I will ship the Monday after the convention and will use the buyer's preferred method, if he or she has one. I know that a deal like this could be considered a leap of faith for some who don't know me, but I feel that I have a good rep here and can provide references for other board members who would vouch for me if you like. Obviously, I will only have one of these to offer, so it will be strictly first come first served. PM me if you're interested and thanks for reading. Dan

Unclassified, according to the Official Joe Con Website, the set costs $280 if you are a club member, and if not it is $330.

Yeah it is WAAAYYYY overpriced. I would love to have em. I love the characters, love the idea. But they are just repaints and so not worth the hundreds they are asking for em. It would be cheaper to buy all the base toys and repaint em yourself.

A good friend is hooking me up with the loose set, he took me up on my offer I had in the sale section.
I was trading my loose Crimson Strike Team and Crimson Con Hiss for a bagged set of this years...lol. Still would be nice to get a boxed set. My money is tied up elsewhere though, so I am not able to buy this set. |
